San Diego County Recorder's Office will receive your marriage certificate within 48 – 72 hours after your marriage or ceremony. The recorder's office usually records each license within a few days of receiving it. However, there is no guarantee on the actual turnaround time for Recorder’s Office to record the document.
Until the document has actually recorded, the report will state; “no records to display”. Please contact me if your marriage certificate has not recorded at the end of thirty days.
I accept special request to hand deliver marriage certificates to the Recorder’s Office the same day or next day after the ceremony. Please let me know, preferably, a few days prior to your ceremony if you want your marriage certificate hand delivered to the Recorder’s Office after your ceremony.
